Frequently Asked Questions
Prospective Cal Students:
Can I get a scholarship?
Sorry, no. Cal Figure Skating is a club sport. The Cal sports club program does not offer scholarships.
I'm a high-level skater; can skating alone get me admitted to Cal?
No. However, the university generally prefers students with a strong academic background and diverse interests. If you are an academically competitive skater, your skating achievements might help you get into Cal. Still, you should consider getting a great education as your priority.
Also, we can write a recommendation for you to the university if you can provide us your skating accomplishments. Contact our captain for more information.
I'd like to learn more about Cal's skating program! What should I do?
Contact our captain, Katie Specht, to get more information. If you'll be in town, you can set up an appointment to meet with our officers, or you can check our calendar to find upcoming events to meet the team.
